Class Act Dallas is dedicated to bringing the highest artistic and professional standards to the Dallas-Fort Worth acting community. It is strongly recommended by local talent agencies as well as Los Angeles and New York professionals.

Class Act is an on-camera workshop where you really work, in an inspiring, energetic, and collegial atmosphere. In Class Act sessions you will perform in multiple scenes, improvisations, and exercises, with multiple acting partners. We learn more about acting by doing it, for the joy of doing it. We make discoveries together, trying things out, taking chances, repeating a scene until we get it right. We stress a creative naturalism that will enrich all areas of your acting.

Class Act Dallas prepares actors for the actual conditions of the set. Scenes and commercial reads are shot with Sony High-Definition camera, professional lights, and Rode NTG2 directional boom microphone. All members are provided DVDs for home review.

Class Act emphasizes the strong cold-reading, improvisation, and audition skills that help actors land the job. Members are allowed to rehearse for upcoming reads and bookings and tape DVD/online submissions at no extra charge in the Totally Wow Productions studio.

Class Act members work in film scenes, great roles from classic drama, commercials, improvisations, the best of the Meisner, Adler, and Actor's Studio exercises, and many original exercises designed especially for our workshop. Even the scene selection in our workshop is highly creative, and assures actors interesting roles that "stretch" them, bringing out new qualities in their acting and new riches in their own personalities.

Members of our workshop also enjoy guest direction from an impressive roster of successful industry professionals. Our colleagues include actor Glenn Morshower (Aaron Pierce, 24, Chad Clark, Friday Night Lights), casting director Donise Hardy, Douglas Davidson (International Michael Chekhov Society), Lynn Metrik (voice and diction), actor-director John S. Davies, and Los Angeles veterans Pato Hoffman and Richard Zavaliga.

Class Act has been designed to bring new power, variety, and inspiration to your art as it prepares you for the real-life challenges of the actor's marketplace. You will learn and grow with friendly, supportive colleagues who are dedicated to the ensemble spirit that is necessary for the success of any film, commercial, or play. We hope you'll join us. This is a commitment that could change your life.
